Ale Duarte and team design and delivers programs for professionals who work and care for children and families. Our training is innovative in the adult-child relationship and aims to equip therapists, pedagogues, teachers, social workers, health practitioners, and families with skills and strategies to facilitate children to overcome stressful experiences, to feel more confident, and to deepen their experiences in what is meaningful and important to their development and future.

Tune in to Children believes that there is meaning in every action children express. Whether it is to communicate a need, to start something new, to construct new ideas, to heal from a stressful event, or even to share their disappointment about the world, children are wired to express it. One of the core features of the program is to facilitate Healthy Constructive Cycles™ in every intervention, a process-based model that can be applied in most situations you encounter. Every child goes through constructive cycles. We assume that when children are unable to find the completion of their intentions, tasks, and desires, or cannot find space to act out their basic needs, this might result in them being either in constant agitation or feel powerless and passive towards what is happening in their life. When facilitators learn how to provide safety as well as challenge for the children within a flexible-structure, that allows them to effectively “complete their cycles”. Our frameworks are broad enough to give you the freedom to implement your expertise.

About Alé

Ale Duarte is a teacher, advisor, and somatic therapist with a resume as diverse and far-reaching as the geography he's traveled to work and speak. His practice aids children traumatized by natural disasters, assists educators, therapists, and parents dealing with behavioral issues, and removes energetic hurdles experienced by high-performing athletes, entertainers, and executives. Because of this, his career became nomadic by necessity, and his methods became invaluable where the stakes were high.

Ale created and delivers the pioneering facilitation program called Tune in To Children. It is designed for professionals who work and care for children and families. His training is innovative in the adult-child relationship and aims to equip therapists, pedagogues, teachers, social workers, health practitioners, and families with skills and strategies to help children to overcome stressful experiences, to feel more confident, and to deepen their experiences in what is meaningful and important to their development and future. These pioneering techniques are an aggregate of many healing disciplines developed over 30 years in the field.

Training History

In 2005 as part of the first Somatic Experiencing® team led by Dr. Peter Levine, I first applied a self-regulation methodology with children in areas affected by social disruption and natural disaster, aiming to reduce the dysfunctional behavior originated by trauma. The complexity of the situation led me to include a wider range of applications and disciplines to support the required agility and flexibility when working with children and the community under intense stress. Today,  Tune in to Children training has been taught in over 25 countries and has supported approximately 7000 professionals, such as teachers, school coordinators, therapists, social workers, artists, and social entrepreneurs.
