WELCOME TO KIDS IN TUNE™ FOR PROFESSIONALS

Ale Duarte and team design and delivers programs for professionals who work and care for children and families. Our training is innovative in the adult-child relationship and aims to equip therapists, pedagogues, teachers, social workers, health practitioners, and families with skills and strategies to facilitate children to overcome stressful experiences, to feel more confident, and to deepen their experiences in what is meaningful and important to their development and future.

This workshop is for you if you:

  • Lead individual sessions with and for children
  • Work in the field of therapy, education, social work, tutoring, coaching, arts, sports, families, etc.
  • If you have a difficult case in your practice and need another perspective on that
  • are looking for a methodology that embraces the complexity of such a moment
  • Want to take your facilitation skills to another level.
  • Want to have more control of the process with the child

Core Principle

Every intention has a cycle. Every cycle holds a meaning.

Kids in Tune™ believes that there is meaning in every action children express. We assume that when children are unable to find the completion of their intentions, tasks, and desires, or cannot find space to act out their basic needs, this might result in them being either in constant agitation or feel powerless and passive towards what is happening in their life. When facilitators learn how to provide safety as well as challenge for the children within a flexible structure, allows them to effectively “complete their cycles”. Our frameworks are broad enough to give you the freedom to implement your expertise and observe these natural processes happening at the same time.

Announcement from ALe

Dear colleagues, participants, and friends. As you might notice, my training offer has been limited and I will resume it shortly. Last year, I and my wife Lisa welcomed our baby Levi and life got a brand new chapter. He is doing so good now and soon I will announce my new Kids in Tune™ Training that I think is even better, relevant for the moment, and unique, especially now with a fatherhood vibe in my teachings. Thanks for the patience and support and I will see you soon. Ale Duarte

Soon in 2022, our certification program will be released.

Cohort-based Certification - Designed for Seasoned Professionals

About Alé

Ale Duarte is a teacher, advisor, and somatic therapist. His practice aids children traumatized by natural disasters, assists educators, therapists, and parents dealing with behavioral issues. Because of this, his career became nomadic by necessity, and his methods became invaluable where the stakes were high.

Ale created and delivers the pioneering facilitation program called Kids in Tune™. It is designed for professionals who work and care for children and families. His training is innovative in the adult-child relationship and aims to equip therapists, pedagogues, teachers, social workers, health practitioners, and families with skills and strategies to help children to overcome stressful experiences, to feel more confident, and to deepen their experiences in what is meaningful and important to their development and future. These pioneering techniques are an aggregate of many healing disciplines developed over 30 years in the field.

Training History

In 2005 as part of the first Somatic Experiencing® team led by Dr. Peter Levine, I first applied a self-regulation methodology with children in areas affected by social disruption and natural disaster, aiming to reduce the dysfunctional behavior originated by trauma. The complexity of the situation led me to include a wider range of applications and disciplines to support the required agility and flexibility when working with children and the community under intense stress. Today,  Kids in Tune™ (former Tune in to Children) training has been taught in over 25 countries and has supported approximately 7000 professionals, such as teachers, school coordinators, therapists, social workers, artists, and social entrepreneurs.

Here's What Some of The Participants Say

Eva Fenrich

What I love most about your teaching is that Alé empower the participants to develop their own ideas. Rather than teaching a recipe or a bunch of tools and games you teach a framework and principles so people can use this with their own unique skills and in the situation they work in. Ale Duarte absolutely model how to interact with children and youth in a playful and natural way.

Susanne Ebling

Professionally as a therapist working with the group in organizations I combine your approach and theory with my own knowledge and experience with groups system centered therapy based and with a psychodynamic approach also. I am so grateful for your teaching as it simple generates joy. And what could ever be more important!

Wagner Veillard

A friend of mine told me that I simply had to meet Alé because I would love his approach when working with kids. I signed up for Tune into Children and as a teacher I found immediate applications in my practice and personal life. In the sessions of every module there was an interesting balance of theory, demonstrations with children, and opportunities to practice.
