Welcome to the KidSoma Method!
We created this training to equip professionals with the skills and knowledge to support children’s development, resilience, and creativity in today’s complex world. Our goal is to foster a balance between bonding and creative construction, ensuring that children thrive both emotionally and developmentally.
In this 3 - module training, participants will learn how to address the erosion of children’s creative-constructive capacities in a world dominated by electronic distractions and social media. Join the Workshop LiveWhy This Workshop is Essential
Children today face unprecedented challenges, from screen-induced disconnection to a loss of creative confidence. Addressing these issues requires a holistic, somatic perspective that integrates the body, mind, and emotions.
The KidSoma Method equips you to meet these challenges with clarity, compassion, and a fresh approach rooted in over two decades of practice and innovation.
The Creative-Constructive Identity
Unlike traditional approaches that focus primarily on managing behavior or addressing trauma as an endpoint, KidSoma shifts the focus toward restoring a child's creative-constructive identity.
Through three interconnected pillars—bonding, building, and balancing—KidSoma equips practitioners to:
- Rebuild trust and connection with children during moments of challenge in their construction.
- Guide children through creative processes that enhance autonomy and resilience.
- Facilitate the dynamic between bonding and constructing to restore organic developmental progress.
1. Bond: The Foundation of Development
A secure and meaningful connection is the bedrock of healthy development. Without this foundation, children may feel disconnected and unable to explore, learn, or create.
Key Question: How does a strong bond create the conditions for a child’s creative and constructive process?
2. Build: Turning Ideas into Reality
Creative construction empowers children to transform their ideas into something tangible and meaningful. This process fosters confidence, problem-solving skills, and resilience.
Key Question:Â How can we facilitate creative and constructive activities while ensuring children feel emotionally safe under our guidance?
3. Balance: Integrating Emotions and Actions
Balance connects bonding and creative construction, enabling children to navigate their emotional states and actions in a fluid and healthy way.
Key Question:Â How do we support children in balancing connection, creativity, and emotional regulation to address all aspects of their development?

- Â Emotional Needs in Play: Deepen your ability to read primary emotions like fear, anger, dominance, and care during play, and design activities to meet these needs.
