Welcome to the KidSoma Method!

We created this training to equip professionals with the skills and knowledge to support children’s development, resilience, and creativity in today’s complex world. Our goal is to foster a balance between
bonding and creative construction, ensuring that children thrive both emotionally and developmentally.
In this 3 - module training, participants will learn how to address the erosion of children’s creative-constructive capacities in a world dominated by electronic distractions and social media. You will gain systemic insights, practical strategies, and innovative tools to integrate into your practice, whether in therapy, education, or caregiving.

We're looking forward to this journey with you!

Overview

Module 1: Foundations – Building a Child-Friendly Environment for Bonding and Growth

This foundational module establishes the groundwork for working with children by integrating somatic, emotional, and behavioral principles.

Key Focus Areas:

  •   The Five Phases of Self-Regulation Model: Learn to observe and assess children’s behavior sequences as a process of returning to homeostasis.
  •   Energetic Connection and Body Presence: Explore techniques for engaging with sensitive children through attuned body presence.
  •   Emotional Needs in Play: Deepen your ability to read primary emotions like fear, anger, dominance, and care during play, and design activities to meet these needs.
  •   Common Challenges: Understand why overemphasis on empathy can block development and why technical facilitation alone may not address children’s unique needs.

This module will sharpen your observational skills and establish the first layer of bonding and support for children’s development.

Module 2: Fostering Creative-Constructive Identity in Children

In this module, participants will bridge bonding with the essential skills for nurturing children’s creative-constructive capacities.

Key Focus Areas:

  •   Creative-Constructive Model: Explore frameworks to support children’s ideas and their progression into tangible outcomes.
  •   Constructive Cycles: Understand the phases of a task—beginning, middle, and end—and how to address disruptions that prevent completion.
  •   Facilitating Motivation and Problem Solving: Learn methods to identify why children might abandon their ideas and guide them toward resilience in their creative processes.
  •   Children’s Creative Identity: Develop strategies to counter the negative influence of repetitive digital engagement and foster authentic, self-driven creativity.

This module provides practical tools to restore children’s confidence in their ideas and constructions, laying the foundation for long-term development and satisfaction.

Module 3: Advanced Emotional Integration Through Somatic Tracking and Stories

This module combines somatic tracking techniques with the Stories in Transformation framework, adapted for children.

Key Focus Areas:

  •   Somatic Tracking: Recognize children’s felt-sense responses and guide them toward self-awareness and emotional balance.
  •   Narrative Techniques: Help children process experiences and express unspoken needs through symbolic and narrative exploration.
  •   Creative and Emotional Expression: Support children in connecting sensations to movements and movements to thoughts, fostering a deeper awareness of their emotions.

By integrating somatic and narrative approaches, participants will gain tools to address subtle cues in children’s behavior, promoting healing and resilience.

Certification Process

To ensure a comprehensive learning journey, the KidSoma Practitioner Certification process includes:

  1. Completion of All Modules: Actively participate during the three modules.
  2. Integration Sessions: Engage in a 1:1 integration sessions between modules. These sessions are tailored to help you apply the learning in real-world settings and refine your skills. (Integration sessions are priced separately.)
  3. Practice and Application: Apply KidSoma principles in your work and reflect on your experiences. Participate live in one Practice Lab
  4. Final Reflection: Submit a brief reflection or case study demonstrating your application of the KidSoma Method.
